nicole alejandra (b. 2001) is an emerging contemporary artist based in toronto, ontario. she is a mixed media artist working primarily in painting and drawing while exploring sculptural and textural elements. her current practice revolves around themes of nostalgia and memory as she reflects on her experiences as a first-generation canadian born to ecuadorian parents. the biggest inspiration in her work is the family photo album and the collection of vernacular images, memories, stories and moments in time.
